This year, I have the privilege of joining millions of Nigerians around the world in commemorating our great country's national independence, which is currently beset by pains and pangs crying for help. Despite the backlash I received in 2010 when the country celebrated its 50th birthday, I was hesitant to write this article. My experiences, however, prompted me to write down my reflections.    My sin was mentioning the reasons why, amid the country's poor management, we should commemorate the 50th anniversary of our independence. And my counsel was that we should take that time to both celebrate and reflect on the nation's deplorable state. Learning is wrapped in questioning. Education is simply not going to school. What majority refer to as education is absolutely not. They failed to understand that real education is questioning in disguise. Oftentimes, I had lost in thoughts with an overwhelming curiosity. My curiosity got me into thinking that led to my several questioning prompts, such as; how did education began? Who are the founders of education to humanity? Which university/ies did they attend? Congratulations! You made it into this year. The utmost desire of every living person is to see a brand new year. Perhaps, if you are reading this article, it’s such an evident that you are one of those that made it into this year—2014. It’s now no more dream in wish but dream in reality. However, like a wind, the year 2013 disappeared on the night of December 31 st , and the boat of 2014 without hesitation anchored. Interestingly, the 2014 boat has begun its sailing right from the transition night into the 1 st January. With excitement, all that saw and experienced the transition boarded the boat, to be delivered at their various shores. These various shores connote our individual dream destinations. To these various destinations, they represents a place called “Success, Accomplishment, Fulfilment, or Happiness” in our different minds. Therefore, to fully attain the success of our destination expectations, we have marshalled out our wishes, dreams, and goals, with few N
